7 Best Engagement Photo Locations in Atlanta!
Sweetwater Creek State Park
Sweetwater Creek State Park is a little ways outside of Atlanta, but well worth the drive! One of my favorite parts about Sweetwater is that you have tons of options there. You can take pictures along side a river, around an abandoned mill or on the side of a lake.
West Side Provisions
West Side Provisions District provides a nice mixture of urban renewal alongside new construction that makes for some truly unique pictures! Once you’re done taking photos you can swing by Jeni’s Ice Cream for a sweet treat!
The Swan House at the Atlanta History Center
The Swan House is one of the most beautiful buildings I have come across in Atlanta! The Swan House was built in 1928, and whether it’s the beautiful fountains or massive staircases it seems everywhere you turn there is another perfect place for a picture.
High Museum of Art
The High is an Atlanta icon for great reason! It is a beautiful art museum with countless hip photo opportunities. It’s a spot I recommend for those who want their photos to stand out amongst others taken at “normal” locations.
Like Sweetwater, Arabia requires a bit of a drive outside our city...but boy is that drive worth it! One of my favorite things about Arabia is its lack of business, especially on weekdays. The hectic nature of many parks around Atlanta is the last thing you want when focused on taking pictures.
Old Norcross provides a great mixture of beautiful “small town USA” along with a large park that is covered in beautiful rock walls and stacked stone staircases.
The Georgia Aquarium is different, but still one great option for engagement photos! The cool thing about the aquarium is that they do not charge a photo fee to do a session there, just buy your ticket and you are good to go!
